It has been confirmed that original stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.

The actors are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. Industry whispers indicate their cameos will probably be featured in a future-set scene, as the original saga concluded with their characters married and with children.
This marks the sixth cinematic outing in the global Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a recent book by author Suzanne Collins. It acts as the follow-up prequel after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. For this project is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed nearly all the previous films in the series.
