Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane ferrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to return to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical problem.
